You may think, “I’ve had my day and had my say.”
I told the Lord I’m not going to learn a new language. He said, “Yes, you’re going to learn a new language, and this is what you’re going to do.”
He began to tell me things that were impossible. This is where I’ve learned from God that with a vision, God never tells you to do what you know to do.
God is going to give you some big impossible dreams. You think, “There’s no way I can do that. I don’t know anybody that’s doing that.”
No price is too high.
After being in the church for 40 years, let me tell you something. Forty is a number that speaks of completed deliverance. God says, “You’re not going this way.”
I had all these relationships built and people ordained. God said, “Write them a letter and tell them to find somebody else. You’re not doing that anymore. It’s time to do something new.”
At the time He’s talking to me, I’m 72 years old. I didn’t quit. I’ve gone day and night. I’ve gone all over the world. I don’t want to do this anymore, I’m tired.
He says, “Then this is what we’re going to do.”
“Let’s talk about this. I’ve got five kids and 14 grandkids. I’m going to cut back and reduce and get rid of stuff and get ready to die.”
He says, “You’re going to go to the marketplace and then I want you to buy this subdivision. Then I want you to…”
I said, “I don’t have any money.”
God said, “We’re not talking about money. We’re talking about vision. It’s time to do something that you’ve never done before.”
I said, “You wait until I’m half dead and you’re going to tell me to get out and do these things?”
God said, “I’m going to send you to the marketplace. You’re going to write some books and do things you’ve put off and complete all this.”
That was not what I had in mind.
God said, “It doesn’t matter. Change your thought life. You’re not getting older, you’re getting better. You realized that it’s not about you, it’s about Me. I’m just looking for a container, not a restrainer. I’m bringing you to a place of whatever you say.”
I said, “I do not know how to do this. I don’t know how to get from this place to that place.”
The Lord reminded me of my honeymoon. He said, “You didn’t know how to get off that mountain, did you? You just rolled down the mountain and became a snowball. You’re making all kinds of declarations that you’re not going to do this and you’re not going to do that. You don’t want to embrace something that is new or uncomfortable to you. It’s not about you, it’s all about Me.”
When you have a goal, a dream, or a vision, they have to be specific future targets in your life.
Let God lead you and give you direction.
Say, “Oh Lord God, I’m committed to you to become and to accomplish whatever You say. I delight to do thy will.”
I had changed my mind about some stuff and an amazing thing happened. I went to this meeting in Mexico. Everybody loved the gentleman that was speaking. He was tired and asked me to take the evening service.
I had no message and no notes. I was not prepared.
I got up and said, “Good evening, everybody. This is Dr. Clarice Fluitt and I’ll be standing in for Dr. Wonderful. You will absolutely be thrilled by what I have to tell you. You’ve never heard anything like this.”
I have no clue. I am biding time. Then God says, “Now I got you exactly where I want you. I got you exactly where you’re absolutely helpless. You don’t have a plan. Now I can fill you with what I have to say.”
I got a standing ovation. They got up and were so excited about me. They forgot about Dr. Wonderful.
The Lord said, “How does that feel?”
It means you can’t take any glory for it. You don’t have anything to do with it. All God needs is a body.
Become a body glove for God. God needs people to be flexible.
The Lord said, “Don’t you take any credit for this. You’ve already proven what you had. All the stuff that you count on that you think is going to make you acceptable, I took it away from you.”
The Lord converted my vision into reality.
This man is talking to me, and I realized that he must be somebody important.
He said, “Have you ever heard of the Get Motivated business seminars? I want you on my stage. I need you.”
I thought I will go there as an intercessor. I certainly won’t be on the stage. I said to him, “Let me just serve you, serve your vision, tell me what you want. I’ll just be an intercessor.”
Dr. Tandie said, “Quit hiding from God. You know this is what He told you to do.”
I said, “I don’t know how to do this. I don’t know how to be a motivational speaker.”
She said, “You’ve been motivating people all the time. Just get up there and act like you know what you’re doing. That’s what faith is about.”
I took a picture with a gentleman and sent it to my husband. He said, “Clarice, do you know who you’re standing next to?”
I said, “He’s an athlete.”
He said, “That’s Joe Montana. He’s won four super bowls. I wish I were there.”
I said, “I don’t know who you mean. I don’t know who’s who in the zoo here.”
George said, “I can’t believe that you’re mixing with these people. Do you know who this is? Do you know who that is?”
I said, “No, I don’t know.”
I told this silly story about learning how to swim. I got a standing ovation.
The owner came and said, “Listen, what I want you to do now is I want you to make an altar call. You just can’t talk about Jesus. You’ve got four minutes.”
I said, “Ladies and gentlemen I’m so excited. We have the opportunity to talk to you about an avenue of revenue. How to have money and how to have success. If you desire to be happy, I have another opportunity for you that you can invest in today. It’s your relationship with God.”
“Without an active relationship with God, you’re never going to be happy. You may be very rich, but you’ll never be happy. You will not know why you were created, who am I, where am I going, and how you’re going to get there.”
I said, “Now at the end of this time I have prepared for you a CD in the back. You sign up and we’ll be able to explain to you how you can walk in absolute joy, peace, love, and life for eternity. I love you with the love of the Lord. I’ll see you back in the back.”
I ran off stage. There were 700 people. I’ve never had an altar call in a church with 700 people.
There’s a glass ceiling in your mind that you think you’ve gone as far as you can go.
God has a plan to use you in the most magnificent, most wonderful way.
God opened those doors to go and do the things that I said I could not, should not, and would not do.
God says, “I don’t need talents, gifts, and abilities. What I need is a yielded vessel.”
No price is too high.
I’m trying to be an obedient disciple of the Lord. When I do what He says, things go well. When I have another opinion, it is a mess. The Lord directed me to speak and write books that will fill you and chill you.
God is good. I want you to know you’re not too old, you’re not too young, you’re not too fat, not too skinny, you’re not too black, not too white, you’re just right.
God says I want to use you not abuse you, but you’ve got to change your mind and begin to say, “With God, all things are possible.”
