4 days of strongest chemo resulted in a 4, maybe 5, day hospital stay where drs were frantically working to get his white blood cells up; but he still has low blood count– but just enough to stay out of the hospital. Drs decided chemo had to be stopped and RT to begin. After 30 radiation therapy treatments ,and many CT’s, the doctor said, he thinks it might be in remission; but will do CT every 3 months, instead of every 2. It has not grown despite it being a rare form of a very rare cancer that usually grows quickly.
The side effects of the radiation has been worse than the pain of the growth.
Dr says the 5 out of a 10 pain must be from the 30 zapps, over and over in the same place, since the growth is in the large pasoris muscle which got zapped along with the outer skin and intestines. He had a great deal of upset from intestines after eating; but God in His mercy through prayer has taken care of that. He’s very tired and sleepy most of the time. He walks shoulders hunched and a little bent over to mitigate the pain; and when he stands hunched he also raises his right foot to the tip toes, to make the pain less. the Dr gave an opioid prescription for pain, but we instead, try to mitigate it best we can with tylenol and walking hunched. He’s doing physio twice a week where they massage that muscle and exercise it to loosen it up so he can eventually walk without hunching over. There are daily severe nerve pains, just under the skin of his right leg ,with feelings of pins and needle stickings. Also, severe pain in the groin where the right leg is attached to the body.
Also the right kidney drainage tube is still blocked by the mass, making the kidney atrophied. The mass is still the same size, prayerfully dead, but still same size. There is also something showing on his thyroid that they will be checking out with a biopsy this month. We pray it’s not cancer.
It’s been a journey, on our knees; but we’ve tried to keep every part bathed in prayer. During the ordeal, he has also prayed for me for several things; and I get immediate healings. One was: I boiled 2 cups water 3 minutes in microwave; the paper on the turntable, got stuck to the glass; and as I pulled the cup out, the boiling water sloshed all over my right hand. It hurt immediately; but he prayed and I praised immediately; and I don’t even have a scar, did not have a blister. It was like it never happened. I’ve had several hurts like that healed since this started. Just last week getting something out of a kitchen cabinet, something dropped on the floor; coming up from the stooping down, I hit the top of my head with a great bang on the tip pointy end of cabinet door. My husband’s eyes became as big as saucers; and after we submitted to God, resisted the Fear and prayed healing, there wasn’t even a bump or black and blue skin, praise God.
With him praying over himself, plus such mighty prayers from Godly servants, we’re puzzled why this growth has not completely shriveled up and been plucked up by the roots and removed; or why all the muscle tissue it encroached upon has not been made new; why the kidney has not been restored. We were hoping the doctors would see God’s mighty powerful hand; and He would get honor and glory, by all signs of it ever being there being moved. The doctors just say it’s possibly in remission from the Radiation Therapy. . We ask if you would pray again with us, to see this come to completion and God get glory. That the doctors would be just dumbfounded.
I also ask that God strengthen my husband’s resolve, this has been a grueling experience and he thinks he would just like to go to heaven. He’s 75, I’m 79; this has not been easy, but we so want God to get glory and these doctors see Him in all of this -as a witness that He is alive and well and He’s lovingly powerful, and they need Him.
